Note that the ends proposed for IS1141 (Via and Falkinham, 1993) are quite different from those of the other IS3 group members. Confirmation of their validity is required. Similarly, the biological significance of the proposed single ORF (27 % identical to ORF2 of IS222) remains to be confirmed.
