ISRfr1 lies 1 kb upstream of the nodABC genes. ISRf1 ORF is 74 % identical to that of ISAr1. The ORF stop codon is the TAG of the CTAG target site. For internal consistency, duplication of two bp is proposed here, although duplications of 0, 2 or 4 bp are formally possible too.
