ORFB as defined here does not exhibit a stop codon at the 5' end. By comparison to the equivalent stop codon carried by IS1417, this codon CGA codes for Arg. The entire reading frame continues upstream to codon 20. However, this sequence exhibit no initiation codon. Note the first T and the last A have been deleted compared to the sequence in the data base to conform to consensus IS3 family ends.
