ISBj6_B is 50% aa similar to ISRso17. ISBj6_B was found by screening completely sequenced genomes for sequences homologous to the IS701 transposase using BLASTP. Multiple sequence alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-100-D(N3)-153-E(C1). The copy number in Bradyrhizobium japonicum USDA 110 is 2, yet the first 12 base pairs of one of these copies are missing.
