ISAzvi8 is 75% aa similar to ISRso17. ISAzvi8 was found by screening completely sequenced genomes for sequences homologous to the IS701 transposase using BLASTP. Multiple sequence alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-99-D(N3)-154-E(C1). Genome sequencing of Azotobacter vinelandii AvOP is currently in progress. Accession number : NZ_AAAU00000000.
