ISVvu2 has been found by screening completely sequenced bacterial genomes for sequences homologous to the IS4 transposase using BLASTP. Multiple alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-75-D(N3)-104-E(C1).The copy number of ISVvu2 in Vibrio vulnificus CMCP6 is 2 on chromosome I and 3 on chromosome II.
