ISCb2 is 45% aa similar to ISBce2. ISCb2 was found by screening completely sequenced genomes for sequences homologous to the ISPa12 transposase using BLASTP. Multiple sequence alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-70-D(N3)-138-E(C1). The sequencing of the Clostridium beijerincki NCIM B8052 chromosome is currently in progress. Accession number: NZ_AALO00000000.
