Vibrio anguillarum is the causative agent of vibriosis, a septicemic disease of marine fish. ISVa1 and ISVa2 flank the iron transport genes, fatA (ferric anguibactin transport), fatB, fatC and fatD (composed of the siderophore anguibactin and a receptor complex that recognizes ferric anguibactin) and the angR (regulator gene). ISVa1 and ISVa2 transposases are 60 % identical. ISVa1 right IR contains a -35 box thought to participate in the expression of a downstream gene.
