The tranposase encoded in ISSod25 has 41% ID with ISWz1_aa1 from Weeksella zoohelcum.
Four full length and 10 3' fragments of this element are found on the chromosome. The full length copies encode both a transposase and a phage integrase family protein. Each full length element has an upstream attI site and all copies are upstream to a 60 bp attC-like element and often additional genes terminating with attC-like sites suggesting that the IS element may be capable of both capturing and mobilizing genes. One copy is adjacent to the integron integrase suggesting that the source of the attI site adjacent to the other copies of the element may have originated at this site.
