The ORF1 of ISCgl1 encodes the chloramphenicol resistance gene. ORF2 is a transposase which is 91% aa similar to IS5564, 57% to IS1649 and ISAni1, 55% to ISSco1, 51% to IS1121, IS1122 and ISBm3.
This is a transposon-like sequence.
There is no stop codon at the end of the element, the transposase use the first Stop codon after the end of the IRR. The transposase in the database is cut at the end of the IS.
