ORF1 [336 (531-1541)] contains a consensus ATP/GTP-binding motif; ORF2 [138 (1544-1960)] function remains unknown; ORF3 [320 (2029-2991)] is the putative transposase; ORF4 [297 (3284-4177) CS] codes for an oxidoreductase-like protein; and ORF5 [304 (4366-5280)] product is similar to the bacterial transcription regulators of the AraC family. One IS4811 copy is located about 10 kb from the right end of the linear plasmid SLP2, and the same configuration is found at the ends (telomeres) of the Streptomyces lividans linear chromosome molecule (Lin et al., 1993).
