Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv genome sequence position 1027039-1029361. The IS1535 group includes IS1535, IS1536, IS1537, IS1538, IS1539 and IS1602. The putative Tpase show between 40,6 and 86,1 % identity, they contained two overlapping ORFs where the stop codon from upstream ORF overlapped the start codon of the downstream ORF (TGATG). ORF1 shows similarity to certain resolvase. ORF2 shows weak similarity with IS1136 of Saccharopolyspora erythrae and IS891 of Anabaena, members of the IS605 family.
