Comments
IS1294 transposase is 62 % identical to that of IS801. Based on the comparison to the other members of the IS91 family, an ORF longer than the one presented in the sequence has been retained. The coordinates of the two "fused" ORFs are: 352-1374 and 1368-1517. The new putative transposase (is1294.aaf) is thus 389 residues rather than the 312 aa present in the original sequence. Any possible sequencing errors remain to be confirmed.
