ISPpa4 has been identified by its integration to the entrapment vector pMEC1. ISPpa4 is most similar to ISPpa3 of P. pantotrophus DSM 11072 (73 % of identity on the nucleotide sequence level). Hybridization analysis has shown that ISPpa4 is present in plasmid pHG16-a (approx. 70 kb) residing in the parental strain DSM 65.
ISPpa4 is 71% aa similar to ISAav2.
