The genome of NCC2705 does not show any full copy of ISBlo6. However 14 potential pieces of this element have been found scattered along the chromosome representing at least 4 copies. An in silico reconstruction of ISBlo6 has been undertaken with the hope to gain insight into the recombination events which truncated these elements. Amongst them, two have been truncated by the insertion of others IS elements (ISBlo2a and ISBlo1b). The in silico version of ISBlo6 sequence was obtained by the determining of the majority of the 12 pieces. This ISBlo6_in_silico satisfies the requirement of the ISL3 family and its ORF shows a very good homology with the transposase of ISAe1 (Blast E-value: 2e-72).
