Two slightly different copies of ISRle39 (6 bp different between A and B) flank a new plasmid-encoded restriction-modification system (homologous to the PstI system) in Rhizobium leguminosarum VF39SM (Rochepeau et al., 1996), in a 4.8-kb transposon-like structure. ISRle39B putative transposase is a fusion between two ORFs (Sequencing error ?): 84-578 and 578-835. ISRle39A and ISRle39B putative transposases are 98 % identical.
