Two slightly different copies of ISRle39 (6 bp different between A and B) flank a new plasmid-encoded restriction-modification system (homologous to the PstI system) in Rhizobium leguminosarum VF39SM (Rochepeau et al., 1996), in a 4.8-kb transposon-like structure. ISRle39A putative transposase is a fusion between two ORFs (Sequencing error, inactive element ?): 84-578 and 578-835. This potential protein is 45 % identical to the IS6100 transposase.
Note that the isoform ISRle39d also carries a frameshift but at a different place.
