ISLtaq1 ORF1 is 36 % identical to that of IS1163 from Lactobacillus sake L45. Note that the reported ISLtaq1 ends (Utsumi et al., 1995) are very different than the ones from the other IS150 group members; their validity should thus be confirmed by actual transposition experiments. Moreover, based on comparison with other elements, two comments can be made: i) ISLtaq1 is probably missing its right end (no stop codon and similarity to C-terminal domain of related ORF2 missing), and ii) the fusion of two ORFs (425-904 and 907-1187) results in a putative 253 residues ORF2 sharing 50 % and 39 % identity with those of ISBt1 and IS150, respectively.
