ISFsp9 is 47% aa similar to ISSav2. ISFsp9 has been found by screening completely sequenced bacterial genomes for sequences homologous to the IS1357 transposase using BLASTP. Multiple alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-99-D(N3)-124-E(C1). The copy number of ISFsp9 in Frankia sp. EAN1pec is unknown since genome sequencing is still in progress.
