ISRm13 is 75% aa similar to IS1357. ISRm13 has been found by screening completely sequenced bacterial genomes for sequences homologous to the IS1452 transposase using BLASTP. Multiple alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-99-D(N3)-133-E(C1). The copy number of ISRm13 in Sinorhizobium meliloti (plasmid pSmeSM11a) is 1.
