ISMps1 is 60% aa similar to ISUnCu5. Multiple sequence alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-68-D(N3)-113-E(C1).ISMps1 has been described as a novel insertion sequence in the operator of the TetE determinant of a marine psychrotrophic bacterium.
