ISDra7 is 93% aa similar to IS2621(ISNCY). ISDra7 has been found by screening completely sequenced bacterial genomes for sequences homologous to the ISGur1 transposase using BLASTP. Multiple alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-89-D(N3)-127-E(C1). The copy number of ISDra7 in Deinococcus radiodurans is 3 on plasmid MP1, one on chromosome 1 (NC_001263) and one on chromosome 2 (NC_001264 ).
