ISRba3 is 34% aa similar to ISBlma2. ISRba3 has been found by screening completely sequenced bacterial genomes for sequences homologous to the IS4 transposase using BLASTP. Multiple alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-101-D(N3)-102-E(C1).The copy number of ISRba3 in Rhodopirellula baltica SH 1 is 1.
