ISPph1 is 51% aa similar to ISMyca1. ISPph1 was found by screening completely sequenced genomes for sequences homologous to the IS10R transposase using BLASTP. Multiple sequence alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-77-D(N3)-174-E(C1). Genome sequencing of Pelodictyon phaeoclathratiforme BU-1 is currently in progress.
