ISMasp1 is 61% aa similar to ISMyca1. ISMasp1 was found by screening completely sequenced genomes for sequences homologous to the IS10R transposase using BLASTP. Multiple sequence alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-77-D(N3)-176-E(C1). Genome sequencing of Magnetococcus sp. MC-1 is currently in progress : Accession number NZ_AAAN00000000.
