ISSsu2 is 57% aa similar to IS1675. ISSsu2 was found by screening completely sequenced genomes for sequences homologous to the IS4 transposase using BLASTP. Multiple sequence alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-75-D(N3)-134-E(C1). Genome sequencing of Streptococcus suis 89/1591 is currently in progress. Accession number: NZ_AAFA00000000.
