ISPosp2 is 71% aa similar to ISRso17. ISPosp2 was found by screening completely sequenced genomes for sequences homologous to the IS701 transposase using BLASTP. Multiple sequence alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-99-D(N3)-158-E(C1). The copy number on the Polaromonas sp. JS666 chromosome is 1.
