ISBfun4 is 79% aa similar to ISRso17. ISBfun4 was found by screening completely sequenced genomes for sequences homologous to the IS701 transposase using BLASTP. Multiple sequence alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-99-D(N3)-155-E(C1). The copy number in Burkholderia xenovorans LB400 is 1 (on chromosome 3).
