ISPpr3 is 74% aa similar to ISPlu9.
ISPpr3 was found by screening completely sequenced genomes for sequences homologous to the IS50R transposase using BLASTP. Multiple sequence alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-99-D(N3)-132-E(C1). The copy number in Photobacterium profundum SS9 is 7, 2 copies lying on chromosome 1 and 5 on chromosome 2.
