ISShfr1 is 57% aa similar to IS10R. ISShfr1 was found by screening completely sequenced genomes for sequences homologous to the IS10R transposase using BLASTP. Multiple sequence alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-63-D(N3)-131-E(C1). Genome sequencing of Shewanella frigidimarina NCIMB 400 is currently in progress.
