ISPto3 is 53% aa similar to ISBf8. ISPto3 was found by screening completely sequenced genomes for sequences homologous to the ISRm16 transposase using BLASTP. Multiple sequence alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-114-D(N3)-110-E(C1). The sequencing of the Psychroflexus torquis ATCC 700755 chromosome is currently in progress.
