ISBlma2 is 38% aa similar to IS4. ISBlma2 was found by screening completely sequenced genomes for sequences homologous to the ISPa12 transposase using BLASTP. Multiple sequence alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-72-D(N3)-98-E(C1). The sequencing of the Blastopirellula marina DSM 3645 chromosome is currently in progress. Accession number: NZ_AANZ00000000.
