ISRsp6 is 85% aa similar to ISRm16. ISRsp6 was found by screening completely sequenced genomes for sequences homologous to the ISRso13 transposase using BLASTP. Multiple sequence alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-64-D(N3)-105-E(C1). The copy number on plasmid pNGR234a from Rhizobium sp. NGR234 is 1.
