ISGvi3 is 68% aa similar to IS4Sa. ISGvi3 was found by screening completely sequenced genomes for sequences homologous to the IS4Sa transposase using BLASTP. Multiple sequence alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-63-D(N3)-92-E(C1). The copy number on the Gloeobacter violaceus PCC 7421 chromosome is 5.
