ISDre1 is 70% aa similar to ISDha2. ISDre1 was found by screening completely sequenced genomes for sequences homologous to the ISAva1 transposase using BLASTP. Multiple sequence alignments revealed a conserved DDE motif : D(N2)-67-D(N3)-101-E(C1). The sequencing of the Desulfotomaculum reducens MI-1 chromosome is currently in progress. Accession number: NZ_AAOP00000000.
